Create a new new model by importing your 3D CAD file from a variety of formats. Define the model name and ID to be used for recall.
Select round, rectangular, or slotted holes, studs, gaps, edges, welds, surfaces you wish to measure. Each will be assigned a (changeable sequence ID and Inspection ID.
Select sensor specific custom tool from drop down and adjust tolerances for each inspection if necessary. Reorder or change Inspection IDs.
Select Auto Path generation. This will generate your new robot inspection program. (This is a unique feature only available in VisionSoft2D and VisionSoft3D and is not dependent on robot manufacturer.)
Execute Auto Calibration. Upon execution, the robot will run through your inspection sequence stopping at each point and perform a zero calibration with your target part.
Import or enter Inspection Point CMM offset values previously measured on your target part. This provides a reference from your CMM for all future inspections. Once completed, parts inspected on your VisionSoft3D system should closely match a re-inspection at your CMM.
Push to Production. This is the final step in your setup process. Once completed you are now ready to run production.
