Our new Fanuc Demo cell is near completion. With the large number of Fanuc users out there, it only made sense to build a demo cell for application evaluations and training.
We will more on this soon.
Installation has been completed for (two) VisionSoft2D systems for the Nissan Canton Facility. These systems were successfully installed on both the Car and Truck Cockpit Module lines for Calsonic Kansei.
Congratulations to Joo Reynolds and Andrew Nix of CKNA Canton for their award at the Nissan Best Practices event in Canton MS. Andrew presented VisionSoft3D to other suppliers. Thanks also to Cameron Sloan for his support with our systems.
Congraduations to Todd Mangrum (Engineering Manager) and Cameron Sloan (Project Engineer) for their award at the Nissan Best Practices event in Smyrna, TN. Todd and Cameron presented both VisionSoft2D and VisionSoft3D at this semi-annual event.
After eight months of development and testing, VisionSoft2D was launched into production at the Nissan – Smyrna facility. This system will provide full traceability for fit and finish of Cockpit Modules on the Car CPM assembly line. The installed system utilizes the latest Keyence XG-X Controller and 2MP color camera mounted on a Yaskawa YRC1000 robot. The system is controlled by our proprietary VisionSoft2D software.
We are excited to announce our second publication. Modern Metals Magazine published this article in their January 2018 edition. It covers the beginnings and potential future for our new Robotic Metrology software cell design called (VisionSoft3D).

VisionSoft3D Installation has been completed. This system will be dedicated to inspecting Nissan Steering Members for the 2019 models and beyond. The cell will provide critical (Cpk) hole location measurements for all steering members produced at the Smyrna facility.
